AutomateNow supplied the design, equipment, programming & commissioning of the Philips Dynalite Lighting Controls System to NSG Boffa for control of the GU Filmhouse Glenelg. This project features a new cinema complex that included 6 new cinema auditoriums and their adjoining foyers, access concourses, candy bar, cafeteria and licensed bar.
AutomateNow provided a highly flexible control solution for the automatic, manual and configurable control of foyers, concourses, seating, candy bar, cafeteria, licensed bar and public toilet facilities. The operation brief for the GU Filmhouse intelligent Lighting Control System was to provide optimum light levels throughout the operating environments for the safety and comfort, of staff and customers alike, for any given time of day.
To meet these requirements, the GU Filmhouse Lighting Control System was programmed with several modes of operation, facilitating the selection of pre-set Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Late Night, After Hours, Cleaning and Master Off modes and their corresponding lighting levels. These lighting modes are capable of being further tailored by the customer through the password protected 7” colour Touchscreen. The dimmable lighting circuits within each area were programmed with fade times of up to three-minutes to ensure customer comfort with smooth, imperceptible light level transitions between modes.
