Leveraging the success of the first stage of the Adelaide Convention Centre redevelopment, AutomateNow provided their services to Tyrone for the expansion of the scalable Philips Dynalite Lighting Control System architecture to incorporate the second stage’s East Building. This included providing comprehensive design, programming & commissioning of the state-of-the-art Plenary and Exhibition Hall.
AutomateNow tailored a solution for the configuration and control of lighting in Australia’s most flexible convention centre. The iconic East Building features rooms with operable walls, halls with rotating seats and a 3,500 seat Plenary Hall that vertically retracts its hinged seating to reveal a 3000sqm Exhibition Hall. The Lighting Control System was programmed to utilise the inherent flexibility and advanced tasking to dynamically link the control of over 20 potential configurations, 9 of which can be occupied concurrently.
The existing Lighting Control Network was modified to include high-speed Ethernet DyNet2 vertical Trunks for each building. The horizontal Trunk, for the stage 2 East Building, spanned 12 Distribution Boards across 5 floors and further expanded the Distributed Intelligence Lighting Control System and System Manager centralised monitoring and reporting head-end.
